TOEIC受験報告（５月２７日）

今日は前々回と同じ女子大での受験、女性しかいないので、やはりへんな感じです（笑）
私は中央後ろから３番目、席場所今ひとつ。

最初からいろいろあった。
リスニングの前に、
寒いので、エアコンを切って欲しいと意見あり。
で、違う女性からは暑くなるのでつけてくれという意見あり。
そして、エアコンをつけたらつけたで、エアコンの機械音がうるさいから何とかしてくれという意見あり。
監督者は困っていましたが結局弱くつけた状態でのスタートとなりました。
締め切った状態でエアコンはつけないとキツイですよね、私はそう思います。
実際、エアコンのブーンって音は全く気になりませんでした。

最初はこんな感じでスタートしたリスニングでしたが、思ったよりかはできた気がしました。
（ま、私としては・・・ね）
リーディングは相変わらずだめでしたけど。

感想
パート１　１問間違ったかも
パート２　半分くらいは正答を確信できた。
パート３・４　たまにわかるものがあった。先読みは８割方できた。

パート５・６　あてずっぽう多し。
パート７　最初の方は簡単だが、次第に難しくなる。
　　　　　全部終った時点で５分余る。
　　　　　焦るあまり適当に回答してしまった問題を見直そうとした時点でタイムオーバー。

さぁて、この程度のできばえで何点くらいとれるのか！？
結果が出るのが楽しみです。
L380R320行けば、初の700点台なんだけど・・・・早く突破したいよ、ホント

明日はTOEIC

I am going to take a TOEIC test tomorrow.
After all I didnt prepare for toeic test.

I'm little worried about tomorrow's test.

さて、次回は700overを目標に頑張ります。
（頑張るといっても文法も何もやってませんが笑）

前回は690だったから、多分大丈夫、、、、、かなぁ？？

うーん・・・

This is my first time I took private lesson.

I took EC's lesson today.
Since today's lesson was private,it was a little tough for me.

Today's lesson is "the use of some and any".

When we use normal or positive sentences, we use "some".

Ex I have some friends.
I drink some milk.

When we use negative or question sentences, we use 'any'.

Do you have any goal in life.
I am not interested in any music.

When we use 'request' or 'offer'sentences, we use 'some'.

Would you like someone to show you around the city.
Do you want somebody to pick up your car?


ま、こんな感じです。
プライベートのフリートークはきついです、すぐ私の順番が回ってきちゃうから考える時間がないですね。
２ヶ月半が経過し、、、お蔭様で・・・相手の話している英語は大体わかるようにはなりました（先生によって微妙に違いあり）が、話すのは大変です。
日本語で「これを話そう」というのはすぐ考え付くのですが、そこから英語に変換するのに時間がかかり、えー、、、とかうー、、、とかなっちゃうし。。しかも、結局変換できず、うーYes Yes とかで済ませたりしてます（笑）
今日で、今月１３回目のレッスン（全４２回）でした。
こんなに受けているのに、上達していない気がしてなりません

It takes long time for me to speak English.

From next weekend, I am going to move another place.
New place is near my office, about 15minutes walk.

Today I went interior shop to buy some furniture with him.
The furniture I bought is frige and rice cooker and bed and microwave oven and washing machine.
I thought these days the household appliances became lower and lower.
Dont you think so?

To celebrate my moving,he bought me fridge.
I was little happy(w).

Today's English Channel in May22nd.

日本語で。
久しぶりに、レベル設定のないオープンクラスに参加しました。

上のレベルの人たちと同じクラスは辛い(^^;けど勉強になります。
あ！これ使おう！　って表現も結構出てきて、いいですね。

一緒に取っている方には迷惑（？）かもしれないけど、利用させてもらおうと思っています。

英会話は、やはり慣れだと思います。
自分から思ったことを口に出して話した数が、スピーキング能力に繋がると思っています。
だから、いやだなぁと思っても続けないと。


スムーズに話せる日が・・・・・来るまで。。。

Beef stew at Ginza.

I went Beef stew's restaurant today.
This famous restaurant located at Ginza in the back of Kabukiza.
The reason why we went that place is,,,I saw that place was introduced by some TV programs.

We ordered "mix beef stew".
Mix means that it includes "beef" and "tongue".
It tasted really good and traditionally flavor, so I thought I want to come and eat again.

And today's EC theme is homonym(s).
Homonym means a word that is spelt like another word but which was a different meanings..
for example can meeing "be able"and can meaning put something in a container....

結構、EC楽しんでいます。
来月から値段が上がるので、360日契約にするか悩みどころです。
どーしよーかなぁ。。。
１年も続けられるかなぁ？？？

夢に日付を・・・

I had dinner with my old? coworker today.
We went to 'stylish izakaya' at Nippori.
Little by little Nippori is changing near the station I think.
There are lots of tall building there.
We talked a lot of things and enjoyed myself.
This was a good day today.

ちなみに、今日も息抜きデーでした。
英会話スクールに行くはずが、結局２２時過ぎまで飲んでしまいました(汗）しかも日暮里で・・・。
私は１週間の予定を、週頭にキッチリたてているんですが、
なかなか、思い通りにいかないですね。で、「ま、いいやぁ」で済んでいます。

予定をキッチリ付けるようになったのも、この本のおかげです。
ワタミの社長さんの本ですが、彼は、予定をこなせたものから赤く塗りつぶし（なぜ赤かというと消しても下が見えるからだそうです）、究極的には目標（夢）を達成するというものです。

ちなみに、私の場合は、目標勉強時間と実際勉強時間も同時に手帳に付けていました。手帳の画像はあとでアップしますね。

At Roppongi hills

Yesterday when I was on the platform, I was asked the way by foreign man.

He said "I want to go Yasukuni shrine."

So I answered that... "you take off this train at Ichigaya station, and then please ask someone."
It takes 5min walk from station to Yasukuni shurine."

って、答えたけど、あってたカナ
（訳）
一応、市谷で降りて、だれかに聞いてください。
駅からは歩いて５分くらいです。

あせってうまくいえなかったなぁ。
外人さんには分かったって言われたんだけど（笑）あなりあやしい。

これでも、、、「もっと英語漬け」では旅行に全く困らないレベルなのですが、
こんなもんです笑

Today's EC (5/13)

Today's topic is "apostrophe",,, that is , the mark of"'".

When this noun is "singular", Add apostrophe plus the word "S".

For example
That girl's
Espermako's dictionary and so on

When this noun is "plural", add only apostrophe.

For example
Those girls' clothes

複数形のときは、’だけ付けて、単数形のときは、’sを付けます。
結構見落としがちなところですね。再発見です。

今週も仕事は忙しいのですが、火曜日休暇を取っちゃいました。
ま、いいっしょ、たまには（笑）

Piano concert

Yesterday, I went to piano recital at Yoyogi with my coworker.
My coworker's daughter is the Pianist.
We are invited by my coworker...thanks for inviting us to the concert.
Of course, she was very well.
And I was really impressed by energetic sound.
"Clair de Lune" that was composed by Debussy was the best I thought.

After that,we went to chinise Izakaya at Yoyogiuehara.
We ate and drank a lot.
Shaomai,green,chinise fried rice and chinise salad and so on.
we had a good times together.

Today's session (5/10)

I was tired today.
Because it's too late for finishing my job.
But...Tomorrow I will participate in party with my coworkers.
I'm really looking forward to joining that drinking party.

Today I joined EC'session at midnight.
Topic is "to tell time".

It's nine thirty.
It's half past nine.

It's nine fifteen.
It's fifteen minutes past nine.
It's quarter after nine.

It's fifty five minutes to ten.

結構簡単でした。。。うんうん。
それにしても 疲れすぎて　眠い。

疲れた・・・・

本当なら温泉とか行っているはずだった、ＧＷ。
何もなく終りました。
ただ、数回飲みに行っただけです悲しいことに。
思いっきり、遊びたかった。


今日は、英会話スクールに１２時から１８時まで、籠もっていました
なぜなら、暗記しなきゃいけないものがたまっていたから。２週間分。
５行程度の英文ドラマの暗記チェック、その５行×３つで１週間分です。
高低や強弱等そっくりに言わねばなりません。
英文自体は難しくないので暗記にはそれほど時間はかからないのですが、強弱とかを真似て言うのはなかなか難しいですね。

で、今日の勉強時間。

英会話学校　６時間（全部やっていたと仮定）
リスニング　１時間（行き帰りの電車等）
ＥＣ　　　　１時間（これから受けます）
計　　　　　８時間　

おお、すごい我ながらびっくりです。

もっと英語漬け・・・買いました

I have no plan for GW.
So I bought DS's "MOTTO EIGOZUKE" to study English.
It's very fun and I am addicted.

DS”もっと英語漬け”かいました。
楽しくて、はまっています。
ＴＯＥＩＣ600点レベルとあったけど、聞き取れないものも多く、
もっと高いレベルの人でも大丈夫だと思う。

今日なんて、２時間近くやってしまいました。
ちなみに、４日目にしてレベル「A」になった。
旅行に困らない程度らしい（笑）

英語漬けはお遊びということで、、、、。
ＥＣはﾀﾞﾒﾀﾞﾒでした。
初めて２ヶ月位経ったけど、どのくらいでレベルが上がるのかな。
上がりたい気持ちもあるが、上がってしまうと取れない授業も出てきてしまうので、考えどころだね。

At this term, I took interpretater class at English conversaton class.

今通っている英会話スクールで、「通訳ガイド」というクラスを選択しています。
明日授業を受講する予定なので、予習がてらここに書いておきます。
今回質問される問題の私がアレンジした予想回答です。
難しいくて泣きそうです。

Q2 What is the position of the Emperor in the government?

The Emperor is just a symbol of this country 'Japan'.
He dosn't take any direct part in government.
So he handle specific state affairs,,based on the advice and approval of the cabinet.

He apppoints the cabinet minister and the cheaf judge of supreme court.
And attests credentials of ambassadors and ministers.
And,,He convenes the Diet and dissolve the house of representatives and performance of ceremonical functions... and so on...

The current Japanese Imperial Family has been reigning more than 1500 years.
And The present Emperor is the 125th.

Q5 Why so long?

Because...The emperor almost never became directly involved in political affairs.
They remained above the power struggles.
（権力闘争から超然としているから・・・）←意味がわからん。

Q6 How do you refer to your Emperor?
（天皇をなんと呼ぶか？）

The emperor has no family name and we almost never use his given name. so we call him 'tenno' which means 'The emperor'.
After he dies, he is given poshtumous name(贈り名）.

Q7 What do you mean by an era in this case?
(元号について教えてください）

Era is a way of reconing years(紀年法）.
Japan started using "the era system" in the seventh century.
And now we use this system.

Q8 Are you using the two systems at the same time?
（西暦を元号の２つを同時に使っているのですか？）
A8 Yes.
Sometimes we are little confused,, but We get used to it.

The current year is called 'heisei'.
this year is 19th, 2007.
We usually use the year of Heisei for things inside the country, and the western calender for international things.

So we have to use a special table...

最後に、皇后と皇太子、皇太子妃について。
The empress name is Michiko.
She is a daughter whose parents run ○○ company.

The crown prinhece name is hirohito.
And The crown princess name is Masako.
She was a diplomat when she got married to the crown emperor.
Recently She was born a daughter whose name is Aiko.

Let + person + verb ＝ allow someone to do something
人に○○させる。ニュアンス的には、させることを許す　本人の意思。
Example...

Make + person + verb ＝ force someone to do something
人に○○させる。ニュアンス的には本人の意思によらず、強制的に。Example...
My parents made me clean my own room.

have + person + verb ＝ give someone the responsibility to do something
人に○○してもらう。頼んでしてもらう感じです。弱い強制。
Example...
Mr smith had his nurse take patient's temperature.
I had my parents clean my room.
I had my hair cut.

get + person +to verb ＝to convince to do something, to trick someone into doing something
こちらはＴｏ不定詞。人に○○してもらう。（努力してしてもらう）Example...

Today is "Constitution Memorial Day"

Today is a day when "The Japanese constitution" was enacted.
To celebrate the day of May 3rd, we decided that May5 was holiday.

And the day after tomorrow,,, "May 5th" is "Children's day".
This day is also holiday and is begun from the edo period.
If you have a male child, you display "samrai armer and helmet" or "koinobori" at this day.
We pray that the boy becomes to grow as strong as worrier.


To my sorrow, I have no plan for this GW.
Where am I going to go...
